First Place: Mike McCarty – “On the River”
First place was awarded to artist Mike McCarty for his watercolor painting On the River.
Inspired by his curiosity about painting various skies, this three-part composition brings
the heavens to life in a dynamic and captivating way. Mike’s winning piece will be featured
at The Doss Heritage and Culture Center throughout November.
Second Place: Ginger Gage – “Teddy’s Rabbit”
Second place went to new member Ginger Gage for her oil painting Teddy’s Rabbit. The
piece captures the charm of a playful rabbit set against a soft monochrome background.
The painting’s name was inspired by her husband, who fell in love with the artwork.
Ginger’s piece will be on display at First Bank Texas in Weatherford during November.
Third Place: Patricia Harder – “Ready to Play”
Third place honors were awarded to Patricia Harder for her watercolor painting Ready to
Play. Inspired by an image she discovered in a magazine, Patricia beautifully captured the
joyful energy of a playful pup. Her artwork will be displayed this month at the Fort Worth
Community Credit Union on South Main Street in Weatherford.
