August 2026 Artist of the Month

First Place was awarded to Ann Feriend for her watercolor painting “Farmhand
Fran”. She was inspired on a recent vacation where she met this wonderful man.
After taking a picture, she just had to paint him. This watercolor reflects ‘Fran’
spirit. Ann’s work can be seen at the Hudson Oaks City Hall along with other
great watercolors. (see below)
Second Place honors went to Cindi Neverdousky for her oil painting ‘Peony’. The
painting was inspired after her daughter-in-law, Courtney Walker brought back
pigments she found in a local shop in France. The painting was done by mixing
pigments with oil and a binder. You can see Cindi’s painting at the Worth Credit
Union on South Main in Weatherford.
Third Place was awarded to Patricia Harder for her inspired watercolor ‘Heaven
Bound’. This vibrant watercolor of a church with the steeple pointing toward
heaven is filled with wonderful colors that reflect a heavenly spirit. You can see
Patricia’s painting at First Bank Texas on Palo Pinto in Weatherford.
